The Lady Eagles won their fourth straight game with a tough 1-0 win over league foe Maranatha with a walk off in extra innings. Freshman, Maddie Binnie, dropped a perfect squeeze bunt in the bottom of the eight to bring home Bryn Henson from third for the run.
Olivia Anderson threw eight shutout innings while also hitting a crucial double off the center field wall to set up the winning run. Anderson struck out 17 and allowed only two hits on the day for SFC.
Anderson, Ayari Lopez, Bryn Henson, Maddie Binnie, and Rylee Olson each collected one hit.
SFC pitching by Anderson and Torin Bennett, combined with strong defense, have held opposing teams scoreless for 19 consecutive innings.
The team holds its final regular season game and senior night at home on Friday at 4:00 vs Foothills Christian. Come out and support the team.
CIF seedings will be announced on Saturday and SFC will be hosting playoff games next week. Go Eagles!
