Our SFC Cross Country runners competed in the HOKA 2 mile National race on Saturday, many setting PR’s and winning their heats.
In the very first race of the day, Bridget Cole came in top 5 in her heat of 59 racers, followed by 2 more ladies setting PR’s (Haven Herbst, Kenzie Kennard).
In the boys’ races, Brady Cole and Kyan Kliijan came in with huge PR’s under 14 minutes, followed by Quinn Noonan and Joshua John hitting their “A” goals of under 12:30 and Ryan Rodrigue coming in at a speedy 11:50.
Evan Smith took home first place in the 3rd fastest heat of the day, with a 10:33 Personal Best and a big win for SFC. Immediately following that, Hudson Kim took the 1st place medal against huge competition with a large lead and an exciting win, running 9:48 for the 2 miles.
The HOKA race is one that the Cross Country team looks forward to all season, and SFC showed up in a big way! So proud of these athletes for their hard work this weekend.
