Adversity continues, but our Eagles keep soaring towards a D1 CIF Title.
Down six points after the first quarter, the Eagles were fighting to advance in the playoffs against the well coached and very aggressive Mission Bay Pirates team. The Eagles never took the lead until the third quarter, and until the very end of the game, never had more than four points over Mission Bay.
It was a closely fought contest in the Eagles Nest last night. The momentum shift in the third quarter of the game came from the efforts of Senior Guard Luke Haux when he hit a key bucket to tie things up. Hauk had a key steal, then a clutch pass to Keaton Smith, and 2 free throws to inspire his team and all the Eagle faithful toward victory. Coach Chad Bickley said, "Luke was the spark plug for us last night".
Other top scoring for the Eagles:
Hayden Gray 18 points, Keatten Smith 16 points, Sam Dudly 12 points.
SFC will host San Marcos next Tuesday night @ 7pm in the CIF SEMI FINALS. Come early, it will be a full house!
