The SFC Cross Country team is off to a great start in the 2022 Fall season. Team captains Rever Schmidt and Hudson Kim are leading an exceptional group of Eagles consisting of seasoned veterans and talented underclassmen.
There have been several standout individual performances so far;
At the Vaquero Stampede 2 mile race on 8/20:
- Hudson Kim won the D2 Varsity men’s Upperclassmen race
- Revere came in top 10 in the D1 Women's upperclassmen race.
- Evan Smith and Esteban Contreras both placed top 10 in the D2 Varsity Underclassmen race.
At the Woodbridge Invitational on 9/16:
- Revere Schmidt ran a 17:29 that ranked her 47th in the United States amongst 3 milers for 12th graders.
- Evan Smith and Esteban Contreras both ran the Varsity race at Woodbridge and placed top 100, breaking 16:30 minutes.
- At the same race, every member of the team got a PR for their 3-mile race. Kenzie Kennard and Amy Wolter both medaled in the Varsity races as well.
There is still a lot of season left and many races to run, they will be competing this Friday at the Downey classic.
