The Eagles spent the week in Coastal League play this week with two matches against Classical Academy and Pacific Ridge. Was a weird start to the week when the team showed up to play Classical, and most of the Caymans didn't attend the match. But the Eagles were there to play a match, and they played the same way they always play. While Classical had to officially forfeit the match, SFC still posted a team score of 190 at the Vineyard in Escondido, one of their better team scores on the year.
After a day off, the Eagles were back at home at La Valle against the Firebirds of Pacific Ridge. While 190 was a pretty decent score a few days prior, SFC put up an even better score of 185 to post their best round of the year. The 185 strokes bested Pacific Ridge by 17 shots, taking them down 185-202. Lots of good play from the whole team made way for such a low score. Senior Luke Bailey and Sophomore Maddox Ott lead the way with even par rounds of 35. Sophomore Hunter Coley birdied the last to come in at one over (+1) par 36. Senior Conor Melehan continued his consistent play this year with a three over (+3) round of 38. Freshman Dax Labrum and Rex Heirich rounded out the team with rounds of six over and nine over.
The boys have one more week of play before the midseason break. The wins this week extend the boys win streak to six in a row and now have a record of 7-1 on the year.
