On Saturday, our SFC Eagles’ men’s lacrosse team won their first game of the season against league rival La Jolla Country Day, 13-2. The Eagles are now 1-1 on the season. The Eagles never trailed in the game and were up 8-0 at half time. The defense, which was led by Cam Morris, Bobby Briggs, DJ Tovtin, and Brett Koopman, was aggressive and tenacious, and totally dominated the Torreys. In two games the Eagles’ defense and our amazing goalie, Sam Cooper, have only allowed 7 goals.
Highlights include: Preston Graubart had 2 behind-the-back goals and 3 assists, Jack Winters logged 3 goals and 2 assists and Bobby Berg had 4 goals and 2 assists. [All this assumes that our new SFC dad scoring team kept the stats correctly. We miss Bill!]
SFC’s next game is against Grossmont on Monday night at 7:00 at Grossmont High School.
Go Eagles!
