Saturday Feb 8th on ABC Television at 11am PST, 2009 Santa Fe Christian Graduate, Brock Miller will be playing football for the newly re-ignited XFL Football League, specifically for one of 8 new teams, the Seattle Dragons. Brock is a punter on the team and part of a successful string of special teams players from SFC’s football program that have been successful in college and beyond. The most notable SFC football player these days is New England Patriots punter, Jake Bailey. Jake was drafted in 2019 and owns the punting duties for the Pats.
In 2019, prior playing for the Seattle Dragons, Miller played for the LA Rams in four preseason games. Prior to the LA Rams, Miller, a left-footed punter, went un-drafted in 2014 out of Southern Utah University where he was both a kicker and punter for the Thunderbirds. After college, Miller bounced around a couple different NFL practice squads. He was signed to a futures contract by the 49ers back in January 2017 but was cut 5 months later. He then latched on with the Giants, joining their practice squad a couple of times through the end of the 2018 season. Miller said he is excited to part of this new XFL league and part of the Dragons in particular whose head coach is Seattle/NFL legend Jim Zorn. Miller hopes to continue his professional career for as long as God makes it possible.
