The boys opened thier season with a battle out on the course, where they ran into a tough Cathedral Catholic squad who brought their best game. As if it wasn't hard enough playing one of the top 2 teams in all of San Diego, the Eagles had to battle the weather on top of it. Out on the North Course at Morgan Run, the squad had to play the round in and out of the rain, and constant wind. The fact the rain stopped and started all round made it hard to keep things dry and how to play each shot.
The team battled their way to a respectable team score of 198, but it wasn't enough to take down the Dons who posted a score of 183. The Eagles were led on the day again by Freshman Luke Bailey, carding the lowest score on the team with a one over par (+1) round of 36. Right behind him was Phenix Rivera with a two over par (+2) round of 37. The scores were rounded out with scores of 40 (+5) from Trevor Morrision, a 42 (+7) from Kevin Finley, and 43 (+8) from Connor Melehan.
Looking ahead, the Eagles will be back on their home course Tueday March 30th, as they take on Canyon Crest Academy @ 3:30PM
