Our SFC Men’s Water Polo Team captured the San Diego City League Championship with a dominating win over Canyon Hills High School by a score of 16-7. Coach Bennett said “This was the most complete game we have played this season. We combined strong defense with solid passing that enabled us to take good shots and score.”
Leading the Eagles was Max Pagon with five goals, a steal and a field block. Also scoring multiple times for the Eagles was, Mitchell Bailey with four goals, Nate Maddux with three. Also adding goals was Marty Hamud, Emanuel Contreras, Conner Leonard and Ben Wakeham.
Leading the Eagles in the cage was goalie Tre Grove, who made six saves to secure the win.
The Eagles play their final home game on Friday, Oct 28th vs La Jolla Country Day at the Boys & Girls Club Pool in Solana Beach. This game will be followed by the Senior Night celebration.
