The Lady Eagles went 1 and 1 in the MLK Showcase Tournament this last weekend. On Martin Luther King Day the team traveled to Mt. Miguel High School to battle the Vikings of La Jolla High School. SFC prevailed 52 to 48 in a close game with the lead changing several times throughout the match.

The two seniors, Coco Wharry and Elise Taleon, both delivered solid performances. Coco had her usual tough all around game pulling down 5 rebounds, getting 6 steals and dishing out 5 assists. Elise was tough on the board all game with 9 rebounds and 2 block shots.

Alesea Haynes continued her hot shooting streak scoring 13, including 2 from behind the arc.

Piper Lenihan led all scorers with 30 points including 9 for 9 from the foul line.

The next match for the Lady Eagles is this Wednesday when they host Tri-City in their Pacific League play.
