The SFC Boys’ basketball team is off to one of its strongest starts in school history under head coach Chad Bickley. The boys are 16-3 overall and 10-1 in Coastal League play with one game remaining in the regular season.
This year has been one of much excitement, there have been multiple games decided by slim margins and buzzer beaters including a double OT thriller against undefeated Torrey Pines (24-0).
Thursday 5/27 the Eagles will host Franics Parker on Senior Night with a 7pm tip-off. This has been one of the strongest senior classes in recent memory and it has been a joy for them to have the opportunity to take the court together despite the many challenges of this past year. In support of this year's seniors, the underclassmen have also stepped up big on various occasions and helped the team to overcome injuries throughout the season.
The Eagles have already clinched a Coastal League title and are ranked #4 in the San Diego Section and #19 in California (MaxPreps) as they head into the final regular season game. The boys have been playing great basketball as of late and will look to close out the season strong against Parker.
Looking ahead the Eagles are currently seeded in the Open-Division and will likely earn the right to host a playoff game and make a run deep into the playoffs.
Come out and support the class of 2021!
Go Eagles!
