The Lady Eagles went to La Jolla to play a CIF Quarter Final game with Oceanside and came away with a big win by a score of 6-3.
The team was led by Mylin Bennett and Revere Schmidt with two goals each. Mylin also added four steals and added an assist. Revere won all four sprints in the game while also having 5 steals and had two assists. Kylie Kennard played tough at the set position and scored the first Eagles goal on her birthday. Morgan Day added the other goal while also having two assists and drew an ejection against the Pirates. Gisselle Fenby had four steals.
The win was an all-around team effort with all players providing solid press defense to keep the Pirates from being able to get the ball near the Eagles goal for most of the game. Annie Marx started the game in goal while Charlotte Adams took over in the second half to lock down the win.
The team moves on to the Semi-Finals with a game against number three seed San Ysidro, Monday at 7:30 pm at the La Jolla Coggan Aquatic Center.
