Strong Young Talent, Girls Soccer Advancing to D2 Playoffs

The SFC Girls Soccer team went unbeaten at home and knocked off two upper division teams in the last week of the regular season.
Our team this season has “not been for the faint of heart.” Injuries and illness made quite an impact over the course of the season, leaving us with only a few games to play with our entire squad intact. Since December, we missed at least one or two players due to unexpected incidents. Every player on the roster was called into action at any given time, and each of them has answered the call. With each broken bone or concussion, we drew closer together.
At the end of it all, we managed to put together a great season going 11-4-5 with what is still a very young team that’s extremely talented. We went on to score 49 goals in the regular season and came on very strong at the end of the season as we head into playoffs. With everyone back now, we look to see how far we can advance in the CIF D2 playoffs!
