The Lady Eagles’ Show Strength and Commitment, D3 Playoffs

P Lenihan

The SFC Girls Basketball team wrapped up a hard-fought season with an overall record of 13-15, competing against several high-division teams that pushed them to grow and improve. Despite the challenging schedule, the Lady Eagles soared in league play, finishing 2nd in the Coastal Pacific League with a strong 6-2 record.

Leading the charge were two of the county’s most talented standouts—Senior guard Piper Lenihan, who averaged nearly 16 points and 3 assists per game, and Junior guard/small forward Jennifer Stanion, who dominated with 15 points and 13 rebounds per game.

The team’s success was further bolstered by the emergence of the dynamic freshman duo, Power Forward Jaedyn Davis and Shooting Guard Ava Robbins, both of whom made an immediate impact and solidified themselves as key players. Alesea Haynes and Ari Sit also delivered strong performances, contributing to the team’s depth and resilience.

But the Lady Eagles’ strength extended beyond just the starting five—this year’s squad was filled with energy and determination from top to bottom. With many players competing in high school basketball for the first time, their growth throughout the season was evident. Each of the 16 student-athletes balanced their commitment to the game with excellence in the classroom, showcasing dedication both on and off the court.

With a promising core of young talent, the future looks bright for SFC Girls Basketball!
